Skin problems: how to have healthy, pimple-free skin

We all know that pimples are every girl’s worst nightmare and no matter what people say, as long as we can see it, that’s all that matters. But don’t worry, nowadays, with such advanced technology, blackheads, whiteheads, breakouts and other blemishes are easy to cure.

In this article I will talk specifically about pimples. So let’s start, most of us suffer from whiteheads which are closed follicles. Whiteheads form when our cells are sticky and start to clog up instead of coming off. Various factors such as genetics and hormonal cycles can cause pimples. For example, when estrogen slowly declines, androgens (male hormone) remain unchanged and stimulate our glands to produce more sebum, resulting in pimples.

The solution may be very simple for some of us and it may not work for some of us. It all depends from person to person; something that works for me might not work for you. But the good news is that with the advancement of technology, there is a solution for all of us. Here are some ideas that might work for most of us: first is to use benzoyl peroxide which helps kill bacteria and salicylic acid which helps in natural exfoliation. To keep our skin clean and healthy we must exfoliate it at least once a week; this removes dead skin cells. For more severe acne, there are other treatments, such as prescription medications such as acutane or laser treatment. There are other drugstore products that can also be used, such as Garnier Pure 3-in-1 Cleanser, Scrub and Mask, Neostrata Blemish Gel for acne-prone skin, and other facial products that help fight acne. (I am not endorsing these products, I just think they are good products after researching them) Wash your face twice a day and use face products that are suitable for your particular skin type.

A healthy diet also plays a big role in how your skin looks and feels. That is why it is important to control sugar and oil intake and eat more fruits and vegetables for healthy skin and body. Also the most important thing is to be positive. I know everyone says it, but give it a try for a week (really give it a try) and you’ll see the difference.
