You can’t experience Diablo 2 without trying delusion at least once

Delirium is a very interesting runic word, due to its unique power: a 1% chance to turn the user into a level 50 bone fetish when struck. And what could be more interesting than that?

Requirements:

A rudder with 3 plugs

Runes: Lem + Ist + Io

Outcome:

Level requirement: 51

1% chance to cast level 50 delirium when hit (transformation)

6% chance to cast level 14 Mind Blast when hit

14% Chance to Cast Level 13 Terror on Hit

11% chance to cast level 18 Confuse on hit

+2 to all abilities

+261 Defense

+10 vitality

50% extra gold from monsters

25% more chance of getting magic items

Attract level 17 (60 charges)

1% chance to cast delirium level 50 when hit

The runic word delirium is the only runic word this mod grants.

Delusion is a spell and, when activated, will transform the wearer of the helmet into a level 50 bone fetish for approximately 1 minute.

Bone Fetishes are the quick little undead found running underground in Act 3, who are well feared for the damage they can cause when they explode.

Fortunately, your character, like a bone fetish, will not explode.

The downside to being a level 50 bone fetish is that you can’t cast spells, therefore this is a big penalty for casters (except the druid, who can still cast his Armageddon spell while in fetish form). bones). The only attack you can make as a Bone Fetish is a melee attack: a headbutt. Therefore, this is not a major drawback for melee characters.

Note: a druid can transform from bone fetish form using the werewolf or werewolf abilities.

6% chance to cast level 14 Mind Blast when hit

14% Chance to Cast Level 13 Terror on Hit

11% chance to cast level 18 Confuse on hit

These mods can be triggered quite frequently, and when your enemies are incapacitated with Mind Blast, Terror, or Confuse, it helps because your character isn’t getting hit and your enemies aren’t that effective at killing you.

+2 to all abilities

Only 3 unique helmets have this mod: Harlequin Crest, Nightmare’s Veil, and Andariel’s Visage. Those helmets, especially Harlequin Crest, are more attractive to players due to the greater usefulness of the mods on them.

However, if you don’t have any of them and you’re still craving the +2 to all abilities, just put on a helmet with the Runeword Delirium on it.

25% more chance of getting magic items

A nice bonus for your MF races.

Resume:

The main reason players create this Runeword on a helmet is because they don’t yet have Harlequin Crest, Nightmare’s Veil, or Andariel’s Visage, but they still want the +2 to all abilities that Delirium grants.

There are some players who find this to be a useful runic word for the helm their mercenary wears, especially on an Act 2 mercenary with the Jab ability. This is due to the many potential triggers for Confusion, Mind Blast, and Terror, which will definitely help the mercenary stay alive for a longer period of time.
