Death Knight Leveling Guide: How to Level Up a Death Knight in WoW

Death Knights are a heroic class in World Of Warcraft and they start at level 55 and it can seem strange to have a level 55 toon with no talent points to allocate. Don’t worry, as the missions in the Ebon Hold starting area will bring you up to speed on all your talent points by the time you leave. The challenge is to assign these points to ensure that you can level your toon as quickly as possible.

Well that’s what this Death Knight leveling guide is all about.

It is an amazing class, as it is a plate carrier that can tank and fill a pure damage roll with the same ability.

The talent trees are Blood, Frost, and Unholy.

As you level up, you’ll want a build that allows for continuous fighting with minimal downtime. This is why I believe that Blood / Unholy is the most effective talent pool to level up solo as quickly as possible.

In the blood tree, carnage is an incredible talent to level up and should be taken no matter what talent build you end up using. Any decent Death Knight level guide should recommend this talent.

Rune Tap and Enhanced Rune Tap are great for leveling out power because they help restore hit points as you fight.

Vendetta, Blood Worms, Blood Aura Mark Of Blood, and Vampiric Blood help to regenerate your hit points and maintain them while you try to raise the power level.

Focusing on the Unholy Tree provides more area damage that has a dramatic impact on leveling a Death Knight as quickly as possible. You also have talents that increase dodge, improve movement speed, and reduce stun and fear effects.

The combination of the blood tree’s hit regeneration capabilities with the unholy tree’s area-of-effect damage capabilities makes leveling up your toon’s power in the shortest amount of time relatively easy.
