How do you develop physical and mental strength?

How is hardness built?

I’m a big fan of mental and physical toughness. All men will tell you that they are physically and mentally strong, but their lifestyle contradicts their beliefs. I’ve heard people comment on the high rep training I do and how boring it seems. They are correct; it’s boring and downright physically and mentally painful.

My question is how do you build toughness? You don’t build toughness by staying in your comfort zone or giving up what experts call failure. Toughness is always built through constant pain and perseverance. You simply cannot build toughness without pain and suffering.

Most people need to follow a cult to train, they need people to cheer them on, anyone can do well when you have cheerleaders. But putting yourself in a mentally and physically difficult situation on purpose is borderline disease.

Anyone can exercise and do things when they are having fun, that is when the fun stops when people QUIT! But they will almost always make excuses to QUIT!

The fact is that most of the time they are soft and unwilling to go through the pain to achieve something out of their mindset, if they can’t see it, no one else can.

When I do a lot of my workouts, I know they’re going to be hard and I can’t bear to do them sometimes, so I have to speak some hard words to myself and go and do it and get the job done.

So when I hear that boring high-rep training is useless, it usually comes from people who can’t take the pain, people who lack focus and attention, who have the attention span of a five-year-old.

You can be a physically strong man but mentally weak. If you are the type of person who has everything given and was hugged, you are probably weak. You can always tell the weak, they are the ones who comment with excuse after excuse.

The ones that will tell you why the ones that will tell you that not everyone is like that, no… but if you’re commenting and making excuses but making it seem like you’re giving me your educated opinion, you’re probably one of the weak ones, there’s never a excuse to be weak, but society says it’s different. As the old saying goes, “Only the strong will survive.”
