Yllas ski center is the largest in Finland in terms of the number of hills, the total length of the slope and the altitude of the hills. The cable car makes climbing to the top of Yllas fall comfortable and the cable car can also be used in the summer months to travel to the top of the fall. The longest slope in Finland is Jattipitka and it is three kilometers long. The hill is 463 meters from the hill to ground level and is known for giving a great thrill.

There are 24 semi hard tracks and 6 hard tracks for those who love the thrill of speed, the length of the tracks means you can literally fly at full speed and why not take on the world cup track which is the only super FIS approved G. pending in Finland.

On the Akaslompolo side of the mountain, you have the new amusement park that offers challenges for skiers of all levels and the park area includes a junior park for children and beginners. Yllas ski center also caters for all levels and lessons run daily for beginner and intermediate skiers, there are also family schools where you can have lessons together which is good for little ones.

There is also the opportunity to try different things while in Yllas and there are plenty of opportunities to try Telemark skiing and snowboarding which are within your reach in Yllas. The quality of the instructors is second to none with all highly qualified instructors. The ski shop attached to the ski center will also advise you on the best equipment to rent and will help you find everything you need, even for children. When you ski for the first time, it is essential that you have the right equipment and feel comfortable and remember that the instructors and ski staff have been doing their job for a long time and they know what they are talking about.

The Taiga center at Yllas sports complex has everything you could possibly need from ski hire and maintenance, sports shop, service desk, ticket sales and some fantastic restaurants. Even if you do not intend to ski, the ski center and the hills are worth visiting.
