Why do short people have such bad posture?

Growing taller after puberty is all about correcting your posture. Especially for short people this will make a big difference. If you’re short, don’t feel bad. It’s really not your fault. There are external conditions that influence your height and you can be sure that you are not the only one: it affects us all equally.

To give you a preview, here’s what I’ll cover in this article:

  • Short people have pretty bad posture because gravity is compressing their spine all day (this affects everyone of course, but short people suffer the most).
  • Improving posture can easily add up to 4 inches and more in height.
  • All it takes to gradually decompress the spine is a change in exercise, diet, and sleep.
  • Results are usually seen within 2-3 months depending on how disciplined you are.
  • This is a natural and safe way to grow taller. In addition, its growth will be permanent.

For starters, when we talk about poor posture for short people, it’s not just about having a straight back. However, it is true that many people could easily increase their height by 1/2 to 1 inch simply without rounding their backs. If you don’t believe me, give it a try, you’ll be surprised what a big difference this makes.

But let’s get back to the core of this article: the external factors that cause short people to have bad posture. Maybe bad is the wrong word; I prefer to say that it is not optimal. Because the truth is, we could all be taller. How can I be so sure of that? Because it is scientifically proven that gravity is compressing our spine. Throughout the day, gravity presses our bodies against the ground. This means that all of our body weight is being pushed on our spine. Do you think this influences your height? You can bet yes.

And this is exactly what happens to short people and what causes them to have bad posture. Your spine has been compressed by gravity and you have not been given any means to correct it. As I said before, this really affects all of us: gravity presses us into the ground and therefore our body weight compresses our spine, making us shorter.

Fortunately, it is now very easy to correct this. And this is exactly how short people can increase their height by several centimeters even many years after puberty: by decompressing their spine and thus correcting their posture. It is not uncommon to increase height up to 4 inches and more in this way.

All it takes is a combination of regular exercise, a slightly adjusted diet and the right sleep patterns, and timing. In most cases it is 2-3 months, to give you an exact time frame. Doing these things are natural ways to gradually decompress your spine, thus improving your posture and eventually increasing your height. Also, if you follow the right diet, you are literally growing taller and not just temporarily increasing your height. Any additional growth you get this way will be permanent.
