Motivation for exercise and fitness: how to find the motivation to exercise?

For some people it’s very easy to eat the right foods and exercise regularly for years and years. But some people find it very difficult to find the motivation and desire to keep going. You may know exactly what you need to do to lose weight, but if you can’t put it into practice, then it’s not good for you. But I’m sure everyone can find the motivation to exercise, it’s not as hard as you might think.

How to find the motivation to exercise?

  • The main thing that separates those who are highly motivated all the time and those who are not at all motivated is goal setting. If you always have some goals in mind, then it is much easier to find the motivation you need. Goal setting is very effective and when you always have a very deep desire to get somewhere or something, then nothing can stand in your way.
  • If you understand that everything you do is what you don’t do brings you closer to your goal or further away from it, then taking those small steps towards your goal is not so impossible. If you tell yourself that “going to the gym and working out for an hour will get me closer to my goal,” it suddenly becomes a lot easier. You always need to keep in mind the goal you want to achieve at all times.
  • If you envision yourself walking down the beach with a super skinny and sexy body, while everyone else limply hanging on their trash lines watches you, then this has got to be very motivating. Or if you have always been overweight and a class reunion is coming up, then you certainly want to look slim and you can do it. If you have a very motivating goal in mind and tell yourself that “every exercise and every workout brings me closer to my goal”, then you start to enjoy what you are doing.
  • The problem is that most people can’t dream, and if you can’t dream, you’ll never achieve anything. Don’t be afraid to dream of something you want to achieve, no matter what your family or friends think. It really doesn’t matter what they think, what matters is what you think.
