Chilling on the beach was exactly what we wanted, but it’s hard to find a good place with a teenage son and ten year old daughter, you have to think about them all the time and give them something to brag about to their friends. .

One of the main concerns for us was that by traveling so far we wanted the children to experience a diverse culture, but a little research showed that Mauritius was a perfect place to combine a good holiday and that they too would learn something.

When we arrived at Veranda Palmar Beach Mauritius we were amazed at how beautiful it was, the room was perfect, the private terrace and all, but then we worried that what would be idyllic for us would be a big yawn for the kids. We were wrong again. Because they were a bit older they weren’t as interested in the Timomo and Friends Kids Club, although if you have young children it’s a great place for them to play with professional caretakers. My two saw all the amenities immediately.
