One of the key differences between those who become quality, meaningful, relevant and inspiring leaders and the rest of the group is whether or not they set the right example for others. , to admire, and trust, etc. After more than four decades, in almost every aspect related to leadership, from identifying and qualifying, to training, developing and mentoring thousands of actual and/or potential leaders, I firmly believe, unless/until, they constitute believing firmly in the individual, the possibility/opportunity to become the best leader, the most significant and relevant, is severely affected. A sum this upTrue leaders must consistently set the right example, which motivates and inspires stakeholders to become more involved and often helps create some of those with the best potential to seek for future leadership. . With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review and discuss 5 basic concepts about how important it is for a true leader to consistently set the right example.

1. Inspire and motivate: If you hope to get more people to listen effectively and care more deeply about your organization’s value, mission, and vision, you must constantly inspire and motivate them! Why would anyone believe someone, who seems to proceed, with a, Do what I say, not what I do philosophy and perspective? While this may seem obvious, too often someone’s direction and leadership is anything but inspiring and motivating.

two. Integrity and Empathy/Emphasis: One’s integrity must be genuine and absolute, or it becomes worthless! Unless a potential leader maintains this consistently, he misses the opportunity to gain the trust of those he should serve and represent! One of the key principles, of the so-called Law of Attraction, is that others are attracted to, inspired and motivated by leaders who clearly demonstrate both absolute integrity and genuine empathy. So the leader’s emphasis must clearly align with these directives!

3. Greater commitment: One of the main duties of a true leader is to attract past, present and potential stakeholders, to accept a greater commitment and a greater degree of participation!

Four. Develop future quality leaders: An often overlooked responsibility of significant leaders is to identify, qualify and develop the right people to become the future leadership of the organization. Words and actions matter, and if you hope to lead effectively, you must try to be the best you can be, every day, in every way possible!

5. Make others pay more attention: In most situations/circumstances, only less than ten percent of the members are extremely involved and perform the vast majority of tasks and duties! Therefore, if you hope to make a difference, for the better, you must inspire and motivate others, to pay more attention and work together, for the greater good! How can this be possible, unless/until, one prioritizes, setting the best example?

If you believe you would be a good leader, you must be ready, willing, and able to clearly and consistently set the right example for others to believe, listen, and follow. Are you up to these tasks and responsibilities?
