The Voice of the Flesh, the Voice of Demons, the Voice of God and the Bible

We are communicative beings. When we are awake, we are constantly generating or listening to communications. According to the Bible, there are three sources of communicative generation: the flesh, demons, and God. Ideally, everything would have a preface. “This message is from your flesh”, Prayed, “You are about to listen to a demon.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way. Identifying the source from which a communication comes can be learned… and is extremely valuable.

Meat releases: from our own meat or from the meat of others

Regarding meat, Paul said: “I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh…” (Romans 7:18). We are also told, “There is a path that seems right to a man, but its end is the path of death” (Proverbs 14:12). In our natural state, we are described as “alienated and hostile in mind” (Col 1:21). When referring to Gentiles without the law, Paul speaks of “their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts alternately accusing or defending them” (Romans 2:15). Everyone builds an internal value system. Against this grid, everything is measured, and justified…or rationalized. Sometimes values are group norms, but sometimes everyone just does it. “what is right in your own eyes” (Judges 21:25). From God’s perspective, all consciousness systems have many subjective elements, with areas of “false guilt” and areas of “no fault” where the real guilt exists. The natural man is truly playing without a complete deck. “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool” (Proverbs 28:26).

We are surrounded, internally and externally, by carnal voices. And the corrupted voices outside are often just an extension of our own flesh. “For the time will come when they will not suffer sound doctrine, but, wanting their ears to itch, will accumulate teachers according to their own will and will turn away from the truth and turn to fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3,4). People like voices that resonate with their own. Disappointment is not a factor. Don’t assume… I consider myself… immune.

Demonic Announcements

Referring to the main demon, Jesus said: “(Satan)… does not stand on the truth, because there is no truth in him… he is a liar, and the father of lies” (John 8:44). Sometimes the demonic voices are in English. “Legion” cried out to Jesus, “Have you come here to torment us before our time?” (Mt 8,29). But, the seven children of Sceva received a demonic communication of a different tone. “‘I know Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?’ And the man, in whom the evil spirit was, jumped on them … so that they fled from that house naked and wounded “ (Acts 19:14-16). In relative terms, I think these releases make up a very small part of the total. “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore, it is not surprising if his servants also (2Cor 11:14,15). Also, “The Spirit explicitly says that in recent times some will apostatize from the faith, listening to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). Demonic releases embrace deception as their heart. And what positions do you suppose the demons occupy when they present their teachings? Do you think those in the pews, or those reading anti-Biblical material, think they are listening to… demons? I am convinced that most demons have silver tongues… and those seduced believe that they are listening to the voice of God. The content is the key. That’s why we must “examine everything; hold on to the good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Satan is very adept at using the Scriptures. He has millennia of experience and does not fear God. This is evidenced in the temptations of the desert. He used the Word of God… against the Author of those words (Mt 4,6). This is crazy.

The end of such voices

These voices of error lead to and end in death. That is one of the reasons why I attack all error. Such as “a little goes a long way” (Galatians 5:9), so too, the small mistake invariably attracts more destructive cohorts. My oldest daughter recently received a parking ticket. The first warning was courteous, but the second was life and limb threatening. After realizing that the death penalty probably didn’t apply, I said: “While I don’t know exactly what the repercussions of an unpaid $25 parking ticket are, I do know one thing: nothing good will happen… Nothing.” The same goes for the bug. While I try to avoid turning grains of sand into mountains, I also know that it’s easier to level grains of sand than mountains. So if I can successfully crush a grain of sand… I will.

Regarding the Scriptures, men and demons regularly distort them. Men do this for money, power, or prestige. Demons only want you in hell. The thought of some peon being forgiven and heading off to an eternity of unfathomable wonder with God is more than they can bear. But, whatever the reasons for this recklessness, everyone does this “to their own destruction” (2 Peter 3:16). The sorrows, descending from the Throne of God, are beyond imagination. Even saints covered in blood are warned, “Let few of you become teachers, my brothers, knowing that as such we will incur a more severe judgment” (James 3:1).

The voice of God

The Bible says, God “He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many parts and in many ways” (Hebrews 1:1). He sometimes communicated audibly (Ex 3, 4), sometimes through a prophet (Jer 29, 1-4), and sometimes through dreams and visions (Job 33, 15-18). “But in these last days, (He) has spoken to us in the Son” (Hebrews 1:2). Sometimes He communicates audibly (Acts 9:4-6), sometimes through a prophet (Acts 21:9-11), and sometimes through dreams and visions (Acts 16:9,10). Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice”, (Jn 10,27) and told Pilate: “Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice” (John 18:37). While He can choose any place he wishes, it seems to me that the Bible itself is the primary vehicle of choice for him to communicate under both the Old and New Covenants (see Lk 16:31 and Heb 4:12).

chosen angels and humans “Tuned up” With God

God has also decided to grant men and angels the privilege of communicating the truth. He is the Creator of everything in the heavens and the earth, including all truths in all fields of study, physical and metaphysical. I think the chosen angels are aware of this and give immediate credit to God. Men, in this dark valley, are slow to believe, if at all. Many believe that they “I thought so” – or have discovered some truth unknown to everyone. And… they want credit for it. This will be exposed as a huge mistake on Judgment Day. God has allowed access to the truth, but He “he will not give (His) glory to another” (Isaiah 42:8). the truth is yours “voices”.

Christians, when they think correctly, have “the mind of Christ” (1Cor 2,16). “All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” they are hidden in Him (Col 2:3). By speaking from this mind, having accessed these treasures, one can be used by God, as his voice. This is a fantastic opportunity.

It must be recognized that although one may trade in the truth, it does not automatically follow that one is in the truth (Num 22-24, 31:8 and Jn 11:49-52).

conclusion

Those who have the spiritual gift of “distinction of spirits” (1Cor 12:10) You may be able to identify the source of some communications quite easily. But, others, not so blatantly gifted, can still become quite adept at determining the origin of a voice. Here are some tips.

1. Study the Bible. Ask God for wisdom to listen and accurately handle “the word of truth” (2Tim 2,15). If you skip, or skip, this step… the rest is irrelevant.

2. It is okay to put teachings (or comments) in a “holding tank.” When faced with a theological or behavioral challenge, take it to God and ask for help in discerning it. “voices” source. Paul would be the first to commend the Bereans for searching the Scriptures daily to see if his message was accurate (Acts 17:11). This Correct to gather information, weigh it, examine it, and think about it. Anyone who attacks you for doing this, you must walk away immediately. None of them… is a Paul.

3. Determine to cooperate with what you know God has communicated to you. When Nathan said: “You are the man!” (2Sam 12:7), David did not need to undertake any search to find out whether or not God had communicated with him. God teaches the obedient.

I wish I could tell you, in each circumstance, which voice you are listening to. Sometimes I can, but sometimes… you have to figure this out before God. But, the reward will far outweigh the effort. The reward… is life.
