Celebrity Autographs – They’re free and fun to collect!

Celebrity autographs are fun to collect and are mostly free. I have been collecting just about anything worth collecting, since the early 1970’s. I have made it my hobby and my passion and today I have quite a collection.

I have some autographs that are priceless, and I have some great autographs that will eventually be priceless. Rarity and Death go hand in hand unfortunately obviously someone who is dead can no longer sign on however there are some Elvis fans who would disagree.

Most people take celebrity run-ins as a boring event, I treat celebrity autographs like gold, because their autographs are just that to me. I’ve sold a few celebrity autographs that have gotten me out of a financial bind or two like John Wayne $700.00 and Freddie Prinze $500.00 and of course I have a few that I wouldn’t part with no matter the circumstances. Sounds silly huh, you could tell me, believe me, my wife tells me worse things, she wants an oceanfront condo, she wants me to sell everything.

The sports card business has made a mockery of the autograph, they’ll give you a checklist that’s mostly worthless, and drop a star somewhere to make you want to buy the product. You basically end up with a bunch of bums, whose autograph may someday be worth something, but not now.

Why not go online and get a cheap or free (even better) list of working celebrity addresses? I have tried this and with much success. In any list you get, you will get some failures, but there will be quite a few that will be worth it. Over the years, I must say that many of these same celebrities have also replied to me, making the autograph that much sweeter. Some of the ones I can remember are Ralph Kiner, a slugger for the Pittsburgh Pirates who signed an official National League baseball. Every time he sent him an article, he not only returned the signed article, but also a little note thanking me. If it wasn’t his, then his wife took the time to say thank you.

Tom Landry, God rest his soul, did the same. Bob Hope too. There are many celebrity autograph lists on the internet that I have used before with great success. My current collection spans over 4 decades and has over 500 autographs. There is no greater thrill than receiving something autographed in the mail, I can tell you that nowadays, people do everything through the internet and mail is mostly used for worthless mail, make some of your mail worth your time and collection.

Create your collection today, they make great conversation pieces for the coffee table to say the least.
